Merge PDF files into one
Combine separate PDFs, such as application documents, supporting papers or scans, into one file for submission. Add your PDFs, set the order, and download a single PDF.
Your files never leave this device. Everything is processed inside your browser.
Many PDFs → 1 PDF
How to use
- Drop PDFs onto the box or press Choose PDFs. You can add several at once, and anything you add later goes to the end of the list.
- Use the ↑ and ↓ buttons on each row to set the order. Press ✕ to take a file off the list.
- Press Merge PDFs to build one file in the order shown. Check the page count and size, then download it.
How the merging works
PDFs are joined from the top of the list to the bottom: every page of the first file comes first, followed by the pages of the next file. Reorder or remove files before you merge. If you change the list after merging, the earlier result is cleared, so press Merge PDFs again.
Pages are copied as they are, not redrawn or resized. Even if you mix PDFs with different page sizes, such as A4 pages and scans, each page keeps its original size and content. Document-wide features such as bookmarks and form fields may not be kept.
A password-protected PDF has to be unlocked before it can be merged. A PDF that opens without a password but has editing or copying restrictions is treated the same way, so remove the restrictions and add the file again. Damaged files and files that aren’t PDFs are marked with the reason in the list and left out of the merge.
Everything happens inside the browser you are using. Your PDFs are never sent to a server, which makes it safe for contracts and supporting documents.
Questions
Can I merge PDFs with different page sizes?
Yes. Every page keeps its original size, so A4 pages and scans of other sizes can end up in the same file. FileFit doesn’t resize pages to match.
Why is a file marked with an error in the list?
Files that aren’t PDFs, PDFs that are damaged or can’t be opened, and PDFs with a password or security restrictions are marked with the reason and left out of the merge. If at least two other PDFs are in the list you can still merge them, and you can take the problem file off with the ✕ button.
Can I change the order after merging?
Change the order in the list and press Merge PDFs again to get a new file. Changing the list clears the earlier result.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
Each page keeps its look and content, but bookmarks (the outline) are not carried over to the merged file, and form fields may stop working. If you need them, set them up again in a PDF editor after merging.
Are my PDFs uploaded or stored?
No. PDFs are processed only inside your browser on this device and are never sent or saved anywhere. Your original files stay as they are, and only the merged PDF is downloaded as a new file. The list and result disappear when you close the page, so download what you need.
How many PDFs or pages can I merge at once?
There is no limit on the number of files or pages. The files are loaded into this device’s memory while merging, so very large or numerous PDFs take longer, and on a phone the merge can fail partway. In that case, merge a few at a time and then merge the results.
